Proper Improvement completed an unfinished basement of approximately 1500 square feet. They installed drywall, electrical outlets and light fixtures, complete full bath, crown molding, carpeting, completed a theater room, workout room, bedroom with closet, carpeting and painted the entire room with a color of choice. They also did some light work in the formal dinning room by creating pillars to separate the formal room from the entry way and installed crown molding as well.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. They cleaned up everyday prior to them leaving. They were very flexible with the changes that were made during the process. They were very responsive each and every time I called and called back immediately each time I left a message. They provided alternative recommendations that actually saved me money. They worked long hours to get the job completed on time.

The project involved removing aluminum siding, extensive carpentry repairs, restoring and/or adding exterior wood trim details, replacing a door, rescreening a porch and other smaller details. The paint crew then scraped and prepped and painted.

This business is formed by two talented brothers, one specializing in carpentry and the other in painting. I wanted to bring my 1923 house and garage back to its original look. It was hidden underneath 1950's aluminum siding. I contracted with Proper Improvement after interviewing other contractors. The Williams brothers took the time to listen to what I wanted. Along the way they offered a lot of helpful advice that made the whole restoration even better. They work with a smart crew of people who all did a great job. It was a major project and it turned out better than I could have expected and I attribute that to all of their skill and knowledge and attention to detail. Throughout the 4 weeks of work, I learned that they were fair and reasonable and that they care a lot about the work they do and about making their customers happy. I highly recommend Proper Improvement.
